Design For Sidewalks of Jl. Sudirman-MH Thamrin Finally Done

PT Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) Jakarta has completed the design of Basic Engineering Design (BED) for widening the sidewalks on Jl. Sudirman-Jl. MH Thamrin.

The design is completed. And the sidewalk widening is targeted for completion in July 2018 or prior to the 2018 Asian Games

PT MRT Jakarta President Director, William P Sabandar expressed his party has coordinated with Jakarta Bina Marga Dept. 

"The design is completed. And the sidewalk widening is targeted for completion in July 2018 or prior to the 2018 Asian Games," he stated, Wednesday (10/4).

1,551 Vehicles in East Jakarta Netted During Orderly Sidewalk

He explained, the sidewalk arrangement would also be focused in the MRT entrance-exit area in six MRT stations namely, Senayan, Istora Senayan, Benhil, Setiabudi, Dukuh Atas and HI Roundabout. It is expected people could be more interested in using public transportation.

"Entrance will be connected with sidewalks that are convenient for pedestrians and bike tracks," he stated. 

For the information, sidewalk widening along Jl. Sudirman-MH Thamrin will be executed on October 8, 2017. As planned, sidewalks will be widened between 9-11 meters.
